Matariki Ramaroa Runway Show Workshop

Upcycle and decorate outfits for Matariki Ramaroa. Māoriland is hosting a Runway Show on the 8th of July with support from artist Te Rina Marsh.

All outfits must reflect the kaupapa of Matariki and be environmentally conscious. We encourage you to upcycle and be plastic free. Prizes will be awarded  in  the following categories;

  • Kuia Kaumātua
  • Upcycled
  • Natural materials
  • Outer Space

Bring your own materials and equipment as much as possible. We will have some materials and resources available. Including one sewing machine and sewing scissors.

We will have a shared kai at the end of our time together, so feel free to bring some kai to share.

All ages are welcome but you must register here: https://forms.gle/SuZE29jaTmhASwD18
Children under 12 must have an adult supporting them. Spaces are very limited for this workshop, and due to the nature of the funding, priority will be given to Ōtaki residents.

This workshop is presented with support from Manatū Taonga
